The LaborEst, CludsLab, PAU Department, Mediterranean University of Reggio Calabria are glad to inform you that the Call for Papers for the third edition of the International Symposium NEW METROPOLITAN PERSPECTIVES (ISTH2020) has been launched.
This year’s theme is as follows Local Knowledge and innovation dynamics towards territory attractiveness through the implementation of Horizon/E2020.
The Call for Papers’ deadline is 6th November 2017.
The Symposium will take place in Reggio Calabria from 22th to 25th May, 2018.
Since 2015 SOBE has been involved in the HORIZON 2020 4 years’ project MAPS-LED, a Multidisciplinary Approach to Plan Smart Specialisation Strategies for Local Economic Development. The project links four EU universities (Mediterranea of Reggio Calabria, Salford, La Sapienza of Rome and Aalto of Helsinki) and two USA universities (Northeastern of Boston and San Diego State) and is aimed at researching strategies for implementing smart specialisation as a key element for place-based regeneration policies for local economic development.
Running alongside the International Research Week hosted by the University of Salford 11th – 15th September 2017, the MAPS-LED Workshop will be a milestone of the wider MAPS-LED project, looking at how Smart Specialization Strategies can be translated into spatially-oriented local development.
The ClusLab is glad to spread information about the forthcoming new cycle of the International Doctorate Program in Urban Regeneration & Economic Development (IDP URED) - PAU Department - Università Mediterranea of Reggio Calabria - Italy.
The International Doctorate tProgram in Urban Regeneration & Economic Development is based on a highly competitive, international and interdisciplinary training agenda focused on new approaches in delivering and implementing integrated urban policy and local economic development strategies.
The official call for the application to the sixth Cycle of the Program (2017/2019) is about to be launched in the next months in order to inform applicants about procedures, requirements and deadlines related to application process.
